Part 6: Conclusion
Beyond this Tutorial
Thank you for reading this far; I hope this tutorial was helpful to you. If you have any questions, feel free to email them to [email protected]. I can’t promise I will respond to each one personally, but if I get the same questions a lot I may update this guide.
This guide only covers the basics of making high quality rips. There’s only so much you can learn from a guide like this, and from here the best way to improve at ripping is to actually go and do it. The first few rips you make may not be your best, but you will learn a great deal from making them.
Another valuable way to improve at ripping is to improve at music in general. The best rippers are all skilled musicians in their own right. Anything music-related that you do will help you. Learn an instrument. Compose. Arrange. Learn music theory. Transcribe. None of these things are required, but all of them will help you.
Here are some resources to learn more about music:- https://learningmusic.ableton.com: A fun, short, interactive tutorial that teaches the basics.
- http://www.daveconservatoire.org: A longer, more in-depth series of videos and exercises.
